Outside combustion make-up air

Where applicable, combustion air will be provided from the outside and installed in accordance with the IRC IRC International Residential Code for the type of appliance installed

Gas ovens


Gas ovens will be tested for CO 

A clean and tune will be conducted if measured CO CO Carbon monoxide in the undiluted flue gases of the oven vent at steady state exceeds 225 ppm as measured

Specify clean and tune if the flame has any discoloration, flame impingement, an irregular pattern, or if burners are visibly dirty, corroded, or bent

Solid fuel burning appliances

If the solid fuel burning appliance is the primary heat source and has signs of structural failure replace solid fuel burning appliance with UL UL Underwriters Laboratories -listed and EPA EPA U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, www.epa.gov - certified appliances if the existing appliance is not UL UL Underwriters Laboratories -listed
